Blogger is giving us tricks, not treats
Though I don't have immediate links, I'm glad that I'm not the only one whos' having problems with Blogger, well, lately anyway. I was having trouble posting and kept getting an error message and just when I thought the darn post didn't post it ended up posting twice. Argh!

They said something about moving to some Beta version, but bloggers said it wasn't worth the headach. I don' have the time or patience right now to move to wordpress, as where many people are packing up and shuttling off too.

In this online message from a Blogger exec. he mentioned numerous power failures, server problems, and a myriad of other technical difficulties.

I still think Blogger is the easiest blogging service to set up out of several others I've tried. I don't know about reliable, but or even the best features but it really is 1-2-3 as far as set-up. I'll stick it out with them for a while longer though.

*******

Downtown every year they set up a "Halloween Village" in front of our Daley Plaza with a Haunted house and they make the water in the fountain orange. It's so cute. I plan on taking pictures tommorow and post them. I hope I remember the camera, tommorow is the last day for it. I kept forgetting, but I want to show you guys. It's really nice.

Well, I'll talk to you guys later. And I have a question for you. What's your favorite halloween candy? If you went trick or treating, What candy would you love to get and what candy would want to toss back at the house. Heh. Oh, and feel free to add what costume you'd wear too.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

"He has the darkest eyes...the devil's eyes..."

The title of my blog post is a quote from "Halloween" and one of my favorite Horror quotes besides others from "Rosemary's Baby", "The Omen", "Hellraiser", "The Thing", "A Nightmare on Elm Street", and "The Ring" to name a few.

I love horror movies, as some of you may know. I may love them more than I should. I can't always quite understand why some people don't like horror, though when I hear sounds in my house or dream about those horrible killings and demons or ghosts I start to understand. Yet, I can never turn down a good horror movie and LOVE them during October.

It's not that I love to be terrified (or is it?) but I like the suspense, the drama, the gore, the surprise. In some odd way watching a horror movie is both comforting and disturbing. Comforting because I'm not in that dark alleyway or abanonded house, or dank basement with the bloody walls bare lightbulb, so I can pull myself away, root for the hero/heroin with reasonable air of safety.

Disturbing because I do fear and feel for that victim and couldn't imagine being hunted in some dark house, scared out of my wits. Fight back? Run? Die from fright?

Overall, I enjoy my horror movies wayyyyyy too much to give them up. And with the upcoming movie Saw III coming out, why not list my favs? I was going list my list with links, but decided that not only would take too long, no one cares that much anyway, but I still wanted to list my top 15 horror movies. If one is on the list you're curious about, by all means ask. I'd be happy to explain any plots, premises, characters, whatever.

So, here they are, starting with number one:

1. Hellraiser
2. The Thing
3. The Omen
4. Aliens
5. Halloween
6. A Nightmare on Elm Street
7. The Exorcist
8. Return of the Living Dead
9. The Ring
10.28 Days Later
11.Dawn of the Dead
12.The Descent
13.Cabin Fever
14.Pitch Black
15.Hellbent

There you have it. Any Questions? Probably not, but I'm open. Have a great weekend everyone!

What was I thinking?
I LOVE that pic of Apolo so much that I don't even want to post a long post so that it doesn't push that post down very far. heh. I'm going to have to put that picture someone on this blog permenately. Anyway, I bought a TV yesterday. I think I mentioned it. 32" Yes, and you know what? IT'S TOO DAMN BIG!!!!

You might think that that is not big, but it is and I don't know how I feel about it. It's like a movie screen in my living room and I like it and don't like it at the same time. Honestly, it looks very stupid and mind blowing and is the focus point of the room and, ugh! What was I thinking?!? When I look at it I'm like, 'oh god, my eyes are going to fall out and roll across the floor from burn out.' Damn, I wanted big...I got it.

Also, Phats asked is Apolo retired from Speedskating. He has not said, but I am answering for him..Yes. He is not coming back. He has accomplished all that he has wanted and training and competing again is not at the fore front of his mind. I'm speaking like I know him, ( I wish!) but I've read/listened to enough interviews. He's done.

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm tired and I have to go back and stand in awe of that big ass TV I have. SIGH.

Ho hum
I don't even have anything to say, that's so lame. I meant to post on Friday, but I think I was so busy getting out of work I forgot, hell, I even forgot for a moment we got paid yesterday. LOL.

I want to buy a TV. a 32" I found at Best Buy for $299, I think that's a pretty good deal for a TV that size. Now, I've read that you shouldn't buy TV's now because the real good ones are going down next year, like the plasma and flat screen, but I can't find the article and I never planned on spending more than $500 for a TV anyway, so I don't even that article was pertaining to me anyway.

Anyone have a flat screen, wall mounted or plasma TV? Tell me how you like it if you do. I suspect the picture is phenomenal. I like the wall mounted TV's but I don't have wall mounting money. heh. I think that looks so cool, no wires and the flat screen and just the TV on the wall. It looks very rich to me, I guess. I don't know why I think that, but I do.

Alas, I guess I'll go with my digital tube TV for now.

Oh, and I almost had a heart attack when I thought Apolo was going to be in Chicago at The Gap, but he's only participating in the The Gap Red promotion (all Product Red clothes at the Gap is to help eliminate AIDS in Africa) He has a Red Bandana. Sooooo, I guess I'll be heading over to the Gap soon.

I still don't have DSL, but I'm working on it. One thing I'm dissapointed in is that a lot of my Sims downloads wont' work on my Mac once I get DSL and download all the new updates. Sniff. DAMN YOU ASPYR AND YOUR HATE FOR ALL THINGS MAC!!!!!

Oh, and (I know it's late but....) HAPPY FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH! They don't come around often, but they're cool when they do.

*checks closet for man in hockey mask...nothing, whew*

Have a good one!

quick blog
I was in Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day and this lady asked me if I could help her in the store. Um, I'm a SHOPPER not an employee. I was a bit insulted, but everyone I told thought it was sort of chuckly funny, so I'm starting to see the funny side of it--sort of. I was in a street coat, as in a regular jacket and not a name tag and/or apron. I was wearing regular clothes and browsing just like her, so WTF?

I'm thinking, so does she just see someone black and figure she works here and should help me? But then I decided not to make it racial. She was snotty or rude or anything and was quick to apologize after I told her I didn't work there, but I'm thinking, she was looking me up and down, clearly I was dressed to be working there. Whatever.

At any rate, every time I go to B,B and B I sit in this friggin' wonderful Shiatsu massage chair and I LOVE IT. The pad is $99 and I really want it. I'm going to have buy that one day, it feels sooooooooooo good. Man, I could sit there for hours.

B,B and B is a great store, but it's a bit expensive for my taste. My sis usually finds some bargains but I don't. I just browse and hang out with her. You find the same stuff--cheaper-- in Marshall's and Filene's Basment and T.J. Maxx. Sorry, but I'm of the cheap variety, unless it's something I really, really want. Then I might dig deep.

Well, I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. See you later!

I'm just a blog
Is today only Tuesday? LOL, I'm so tired and it's not even the middle of the week. Ah well, Must be Tuesday. (heh) "Apolo" came by to tune up our computers and even though he sat with me and talked about how hungry he was, I was a bit stressed about some of my work and couldn't even enjoy the time. Sigh. He was only there for like five minutes anyway, but a good five minutes. ;)

A friend of mine said she doesn't think I should try to push anything with anyone that works with, around, or near me. LOL. She has a point. She was in a relationship with this other teacher where she used to work and they broke it off and they couldn't be friends and she actually had to find another job. But, that was her situation, not mine. But it could happen, you know?

I want to get DSL, but I can't understand why it's so hard to do online? I'm getting asked all these questions about accounts and last four digits of my SS# and WTF? can I just get high speed internet please?

Today I was craving Orange Chicken from Panda Express. I got it and you know what? IT SUCKED! I think I'm going to officially ban Panda Express from my menu.

We've been having storms here (glad they're in the subburbs and not near me) lights out, trees down, streets flooded--We didn't get any of that. Whew!

I was supposed to comment to your comments to my last post, but, er, I was too lazy. But Catch, Mimi, HDD, Chana and other commenters, I hear what you're saying and I agree with, I think it was Mimi who said that it's just so the other person can see you relate to them. But I think I do it more than others. LOL! Stop me! But I didn't do it today. Yea me!

The Bitch = Office Manager will be out of the office Thursday until Next Monday. It'll be like Christmas!

Okay, catch you guys on the flip side.
